Serving as the administrative head of county government, the County Manager’s responsibilities are:
To see that the orders of the Board of Commissioners are faithfully executed. To attend the meetings of the Board of Commissioners and make recommendations to it. To report to the Board of Commissioners on the affairs of the County. To appoint and remove such offices and employees deemed necessary, except officers and employees who are required to be elected or whose appointment is otherwise provided by law. The County Manager serves as budget officer and directs the administration of offices, departments, boards, commissions and agencies under the general control of the Board of Commissioners, subject to the general direction and control of the Board.
